To kick this week off, I wanted to share an updated skincare routine with y’all! When I first started blogging, I shared what I used to keep my skin clean and clear. Since then though, I definitely have switched and ditched a few different products, so I want to talk alittle bit about what I’m now using and loving for my skin. I have two different routines, one for the morning and one for at night, before bed. For each routine, I’ve listed out what I use, in order of how I apply each product to my face!
For my morning skincare routine, I typically use less products than what I use at night before bed. I mainly do this to cut down time on getting ready for the day. 😜 Not only that, but I don’t want my face to feel like so much product is plastered on, especially once my makeup is on as well!
am products:
1.) Tula “The Cult Classic” cleanser + Tao Orbital facial cleansing brush
2.) Dime Beauty “Glow” serum
3.) Neutrogena “Hydro Boost Water Gel” moisturizer
4.) Becca “Backlight Priming Filter” face primer
At night, I definitely layer on all the goods compared to the morning, haha. I like being able to let each product sit and work on my face over night.
pm products
1.) The Makeup Eraser cloth or Amazon’s cheaper version minis ( have both and prefer the Amazon ones because they are smaller)
2.) Tula “The Cult Classic” cleanser + Tao Orbital Facial Cleansing brush
3.) Colleen Rothschild Beauty “Mineral Soothing” toner
4.) Dime Beauty “Glow” + “Hyaluronic Acid” serums
5.) Dime Beauty “Eyelash Boost” serum
6.) Neutrogena “Hydro Boost Water Gel” moisturizer
7.) Hanalei “Lip Treatment” in clear
Why I love & use these products on the daily:
Tula Cleanser:
I’ve been using Tula’s cleanser for over a year now & have noticed a huge difference in my skin. I have less acne, blemishes, and oil buildup. This always leaves my face feeling so fresh and smooth.
Colleen Rothschild Toner:
Honestly, I’ve never really used a toner until I found this one. I didn’t even know what a toner was. 😂 So if you don’t know like I didn’t, let me fill you in! A toner basically removes any left over dirt or makeup that’s built up inside your pores. Make sure you use it after you wash your face for best results. I just pour some of mine on a cotton round and wipe it all over my face. It’s crazy how much extra gunk it picks up. Even after you use your cleanser!
Tao Orbital Facial Cleansing Brush:
Like my toner, I never really used a cleaning brush for my face until recently. Before I would just squeeze some cleanser into my hands, massage into my skin, rinse, and dry. I had no clue that I wasn’t really getting my face clean. This brush is a game changer, and more on the affordable side, compared to most facial cleansing brushes.
All you have to do is squeeze your favorite cleanser into the middle of the brush, wet, press the on button and work in a circular motion all over your face. Its bristles are designed to safely dislodge all the gunk built up in your pores. The charging base’s UV light kills germs and drys your brush for your next use.
And the best part about the Tao brush, is that it’s waterproof and can be used in the shower! Super convenient!
ps – this brush is on sale for $49 (normally $99).
Hyper Glow Serum:
Okay y’all. I’ve tried my fair share of face serums, and none of them have truly given me results like Dime Beauty’s has. This glow serum that contains vitamin c, helps brighten and protect your skin from environmental stressors, like pollution.
Hyaluronic Acid Serum:
My face is usually dry and has lots of redness to it. This serum is a life saver for both! It basically provides your skin with lasting hydration, all while “plumping” it’s overall appearance.
Eyelash Boost Serum:
I’ve tried lots of home remedies and other lash serums before. Nothing has grown my lashes as quick as this serum has!
ps- you can purchase all of these serums in a set for $85 or individually.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moisturizer:
In my very first blog post, I talked about FAB’s Coconut Water Gel moisturizer. I occasionally will still use it, but in my opinion, this water based moisturizer is exactly the same. Minus the coconut smell. Both leave my skin feeling extremely smooth and hydrated. The Neutrogena one is more on the affordable side, plus you can get it at your local Walmart.
Hanalei Lip Treatment:
I use this before bed like a lip mask, to help keep my lips hydrated throughout the night. It doesn’t matter if it’s winter or summertime. My lips are always dry and cracked. This treatment has definitely helped to rejuvenate and moisturize them back to life!
ps – this lip treatment is on sale for $15 (normally $20).
I hope this post was helpful for those of you looking for new products or ways to help protect and keep your skin clean!
Thank you so much for reading! Enjoy your week.
