I’ve been so excited to share today’s recipe with y’all because it’s one of our favorite cookies! Don’t get me wrong, we love a good chocolate chip cookie, but this is perfect treat for a sweet craving. Most ingredients are probably already in your pantry, so these snickerdoodles are fairly quick to whip up anytime!
Snickerdoodle Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanila extract
- 2 3/4 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
- Cream together your butter and sugar.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla, mix well.
- Add the flour, baking soda, and salt, and stir well.
- Shape your dough into balls.
- In a separate bowl, mix together 3 tbs sugar, and 1 tbs cinnamon.
- Roll your dough balls in this mixture until its evenly coated.
- Place cookies on a silicone mat lined baking sheet (or parchment paper).
- Bake for 7-9 minutes, depending on your oven.
- Once they’re done, remove from the oven and let cool for 2 minutes on a cooling rack and enjoy!
Cookie Tip: If you find your cookies are usually hard the next day, throw a slice of bread into your cookie jar/dish when storing them. This helps to keep the cookies soft, and fresh.
Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we do.
